I actually first imaginated this aesthetic idea like 5 years ago when imagining a whole 6 cups-worth of my own Mario Kart tracks for the next game. I actually drew all but the last cup as proper maps in my college sketchpad, as like quasi-3D detailed things with gimmicks and everything. Looking back there was a mixture of cool stuff and awful designs that wouldn’t be fun to race on at all, but with good concepts at heart (had a lot of Paper Mario TTYD inspired stuff actually, like Rogueport, Poshley Sanctum and such).
Anyway uhh… yeah the image speaks for itself hopefully! I just about managed to vaguely capture what I imagine in my head, though I imagine the real thing would have tons of cool scenery and stuff around the track that I couldn’t come up with for here. The general point though is Lap 1 - gorgeous sunny sea, Lap 2 - beautiful sunset above the clouds, Lap 3 - classic space but utterly exploding with colour and neon and fireworks and whooo.
I finally came up with a story for Kay, so more porn comics ahoy. Just uploading the cover page for now. Actually managed to bang out three whole pages in one day, but I still have to give priority to Phantasm Dyad, so won’t do anymore of this until this time next week. Hoping I’ll at least finish one episode, I don’t want another Rhubarb situation. She has two episodes that I started and never finished, one of which had two whole completed pages, just sitting there in my folders, not being read. D=
